My new single “SILVER LINING” was out yesterday across digital and today the video is out!!

This is my love-gift for you Thank you for your love and support. Life is not always a bed of Roses…but there is a hope, a Silver Lining through the uphill climb. I’ll share more about the heart of this song and also how deeply personal it is to me in my life journey.

Love, life, relationships are a beautiful thing, but one of the hardest things to navigate when obstacles are in the way or we face unexpected tragedies. At times it’s broken relationships and other times lives lost too young or the loss of elderly, either one, whether it’s through injustice, neglect, tragedies, and natural causes. Grief and loss is a real thing and your journey is precious, necessary to walk through the grief, must never be pressured to rush through it, but my hope is that you’ll know you are not alone. There is hope in the journey.

In the video that accompanies this new release, some scenes depict even the tragic loss of so many First Nations children and the pain that their families have suffered across Canada. I could not turn a blind eye to the injustices that occurred and decided to help bring this to forefront through my music release.

As I was touring in Canada and abroad, there have been film and photoshoots specifically chosen for my releases. As you’ve seen in previous releases “So Fragile” and “Bring My Angel Down To Earth”, extensive travel and great care and effort has been taken to bring you my visual interpretation of the messages in each song. My artistry includes production in various ways and my hope is that you’ll be encouraged and inspired in your life journey, in love, life, and relationships.

In this video “SILVER LINING” , you’ll see me walking on the grounds ancient royal castles of Scotland and scenes in Europe, the rough countryside roads of Alberta, twirling and dancing in a gown and tiara various mountains ranges and running down the steps of Parliament buildings in Victoria, British Columbia Canada . There’s a thistle present throughout..it’s a thorn but a beautiful flower at the same time that I’ll talk about another time.

Back to the steps at Parliament buildings:As I’m dancing freely coming down the Canadian government steps, I’m depicting the innocence of a child and as anyone should be enjoying life! In other parts, you’ll also see the same Parliament buildings (shot at night during my recent West Coast BC tour) but this time, the steps were not danceable as they were covered in children’s shoes, teddy bears and other significant toys as a tribute to the loss of life many First Nations children.

I saw this from afar in the harbour while in Victoria BC and felt a sense of urgency and could not leave there without going to see this for myself. My heart grieved and I cried as I saw first hand the memorial to all the injustices and the joy that was taken from families as a result. ❤️‍🩹While planning for the release of Silver Lining, we also recorded in the choruses what sounds like a choir of children singing… yes, your song and voices are heard. We decided to include the footage on the Parliament steps and lit up buildings as well in the video release so you could all see this and as you hear the “choir of children’s voices” you will never forget them. Yes, every child matters… ❤️‍🩹

My hope is you would know that your loss and grief are seen and heard. Many stand with those who hurt and grieve. You are not alone. I hope through this song, your heart would be met with the raw reality of your suffering and that your process is honoured and it not be rushed, but that you would know there is a hope..a Silver Lining in your journey of healing. ❤️‍🩹
